A fee agreement is an agreement between the client and the lawyer about legal services. This deviates from the provisions of the German Lawyers’ Fees Act. The law regulates the case that no agreement is reached.

The German tax adviser remuneration regulation (StbVV) regulates the remuneration of the tax adviser. All services that can be provided by tax consultants are recorded there. It only applies to the traditional services of the tax consultant and does not include, for example, business advice.
Litigation financing is a financial service provided by companies that specialize in assuming litigation costs for clients. For this purpose, the client enters a separate contract with the litigation financier.
A performance-based remuneration is a fee which is negotiated between the lawyer and the client. The lawyer receives remuneration if he achieves the desired success for the client.
